The Speedbox Diffuser is designed for the photographer who uses speedlights off camera. It is one of the easiest and quickest softboxes for off camera flash. The Speedbox line is made just like a studio softbox, and has an internal baffle, which ensures an even spread of light.
The Speedbox Diffuser is made up of only three parts: the speedring, the tilt bracket, and the softbox. The rods never need to be removed from the softbox, and a couple of spare rods are included in the box. After you initially put the Speedbox together, by putting the end of each pole into the speedring, you will never have to spend more than a minute to set your speedbox up before a shoot.
When you are ready to use, you simply pull the rods out to click into place, and your Speedbox is set up and ready to use. Then simply slide it on to the adjustable tilt bracket, attach your speedlight, and mount it onto a light stand. The bracket is adjustable so that you can use with any speedlight including the Canon Flash Speedlight, Nikon Speedlights, Quantum, or Metz. You can move the speedlight backwards and forward until the speedlight head pokes directly into the speedbox.
The Speedbox mounts directly to most light stands or camera tripods, are light arms.
To release the Speedbox, just squeeze the two buttons on the back of the bracket, and the Speedbox collapses in a second!
This is by far one of the most easiest ways of getting soft light out of your speedlight flashes. TheSpeedbox Diffuser 47, Speedbox Diffuser 55, and Speedbox Diffuser 60 has the front diffuser sewn on, making it one fewer thing to lose when out on location. The Speedbox Diffuser 70 has a removable front diffuser and inner baffle for the photographer who would like more control over the specular highlights.
